Tulare County athlete of the week: Woodlake's Ismael Pena
Woodlake High School's Ismael Pena was voted by readers as the Visalia Times-Delta Tulare County prep athlete of the week.
In an online poll that closed on June 2, Pena received 1,642 votes, or a 50.9% majority, of the 3,243 responses.
Pena tossed five strikeouts in six shutout innings to lead the Tigers to the 2023 Central Section Division VI title.
