New CF Montreal Jersey Spotted for Sale Before Official Unveiling

The new primary kit for 2023 Major League Soccer team CF Montréal has been seen for sale before its official unveiling. The jersey had been delayed as the team consulted with Indigenous communities about including an inscription in an Indigenous language somewhere on the jersey. There is no such inscription visible on the shirt as seen in photos posted on Twitter by user @SJDeSantis.
One of the photos shows a blue jersey with tapering black lines in the shape of chevrons going up and down the shirt. The Adidas shoulder stripes, taping on each side and across the back hem, and sleeve cuffs are colored grey. The V-neck collar is solid blue with a black and grey insert at the front.
Another photo gives a closer look at the black lines on the jersey along with an Adidas authentic patch. The MLS shield and Apple TV+ logo normally on the left sleeve of genuine jerseys are not visible.
CF Montréal had originally announced the release of its new kit would be put on hold to strengthen its approach in collaborating with Indigenous communities. The club has been seen playing on the field in its grey secondary kit with a blue marble effect and black trim. The photos match an earlier leak of the new jersey uncovered by soccer news site Footy Headlines. As well, the pattern on the jersey corresponds to a scarf currently available in the CF Montréal online store.
