Le Coq Sportif unveil new France Rugby World Cup jerseys : PlanetRugby
Rugby World Cup 2023 hosts France are the first team to unveil their jerseys for the tournament.
The new jersey supplied by Le Coq Sportif is a slightly different colour than the ones France donned during the Autumn Nations Series last year and Six Nations this year.
Les Bleus will also return to wearing white shorts instead of the blue worn during the Six Nations.
"A strong choice in this year of the Rugby World Cup for the XV of France, behind which a whole people will continue to unite. For this competition, on their land, the players of France will carry the flag of the nation. A blue jersey, white shorts, red socks – it's the return to silhouetting the colours of our country," read a joint press release from the FFR and le Coq Sportif.
The change in the shade of blue is attributed to be a reflection of the France flag.
"This new colour gives elegance and depth to this statutory jersey, where the cobalt blue, present in touches, recalls the heritage of historic jerseys," the statement added.

The alternate jersey has also been released.
The white jersey has a blue strip on the right-hand side that extends from the bottom of the jersey up to the sleeve.
While France's sponsor Altrad featured on the front of the jersey during the Six Nations, it does not appear on the Rugby World Cup jersey.
This is due to World Rugby's regulations for World Cups, with only the team's logo, kit supplier and the World Rugby logo allowed on the front of the jersey.

Le Coq Sportif offers the jersey in men's, women's and children's sizes and states that the replica jersey has a design identical to that worn by the players.
France's Rugby World Cup replica jersey will set you back around £84 or €95.
