San Diego Loyal SC unveils new jerseys, will debut them in Friday's match at Torero Stadium
San Diego Loyal SC will look a little different when it takes the field Friday night.
The club will take on Sacramento Republic FC at Torero Stadium wearing a new alternate "8-Bit" kit includes a blue-to-green color fade and pattern that the team says represents "San Diego's perfect climate and beaches, the ultimate destination for summer fun in the sun." The new alternate jersey features the club's "SD" logo along with the logos of four sponsors: BluPeak, Corralejo Tequila, Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and Cymbiotika.
The look, which the team says represents the gaming landscape of the 1980s and 90s, is a departure from the Loyal's traditional colors of Torrey green and orange.
Jerseys will be available for purchase at the team shop on Friday night; online orders will ship June 12.
