Professional WWE wrestler and former UFC fighter "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey takes on Ruby Riott on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2019, at the Sames Auto Arena during the WWE Live Road to Wrestlemania event.

World Wrestling Entertainment star Ronda Rousey visited Pop's Family Restaurant in Milford Sunday morning, the restaurant confirmed.

A customer posted a selfie on Facebook with the martial artist, who is smiling and wearing a tie-dye hoodie.

The meeting came before the WWE "Monday Night Raw" showdown at Hartford's XL Center at 7:30 p.m. EST. The WWE wrestling television program airs live every Monday on USA Network and features wrestlers hired specifically for Raw competitions, including Rousey.

Rousey and Shayna Baszler defeated Katana Chance and Kayden Carter by submission when Baszler locked Carter in the Kirifuda Clutch. The two became WWE Women's Tag Team Champions on May 29 after defeating Raquel Rodriguez and Shotzi, Bayley and IYO SKY, and Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green.

Last night's event featured battles between Seth "Freakin" Rollins and Damian Priest, Becky Lynch and Sonya Deville and Zoey Stark and Natalya, according to the WWE website. The showdown also featured Smackdown Women's Champion Rhea Ripley, Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn and Intercontinental Champion "The Ring General" Gunther, according to the event description.

The professional wrestler and actress was in Hollwood last week to promote the new reality show, "Stars on Mars," which premiered Monday night at 8 p.m. EST on Fox. In the show, celebrity contestants take on a series of challenges in an environment similar to Mars to see who's most likely to survive conditions on the Red Planet.

In 2013, she tweeted a link to a YouTube video saying the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was part of a government conspiracy and described it as an "extremely interesting must-watch" video. She later tweeted that "asking questions and doing research is more patriotic than blindly accepting what you're told." Rousey deleted the tweets and apologized for the remarks.

Rousey began her fighting career as the youngest judoka to qualify for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and won a gold medal in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics. She was the first female competitor to sign with Ultimate Fighting Championship and became the first woman to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame on July of 2018. In 2022, she won her first SmackDown Women's Championship against Charlotte Flair.

The sports entertainment company is in the process of moving its headquarters to 707 Washington Blvd. in Stamford. In January, a WWE spokesperson said company officials plan to open offices within the downtown property's 13-story tower "towards the end of" the first quarter of 2023, and the remainder of the office space is set to open mid-2023.
